Kaoru Saito was born in Kanagawa, Japan in 1931. He studied Fine Art under Tsuruta Goro and Arai Tatsuo from 1948-1950. He became a member of the Shunyo-kai, an important Japanese printmakers’ organization. He is a master mezzotint artist and has had countless exhibitions throughout the world. He is considered one of Japan's finest printmakers.
