We are delighted to announce our first solo show of Paul DuSold’s paintings at Gallery 71. DuSold graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts where he found his style of atmospheric representationalism. Under the tutelage of Arthur Decosta, DuSold spent the better part of 15 years honing his craft finding inspiration from 16th-17th Century Italian and Spanish masters. Springtime: Florals & Deities will donne our walls with ephemeral blooms alongside the myth of Endymion—the shepherd Zeus granted eternal youth and cursed with eternal sleep. DuSold’s renderings immortalize softness and vulnerability of both subjects, which in time wither opposite the canvas.
