March 21st: RIcardo Roig

Innovation & Sight

We’re excited for you to join us at Ricardo’s artist talk. Ricardo has been making art as early and freely as his early childhood. During his BFA at Keane University, Roig developed a new media form via his technique of creating his hand cut prints. The process is one of patience and faith in vision. He wields his x-acto knife as a painter his brush but instead to create negative space where the colors he mixes will live. In his depictions of iconic skylines the eye is pulled by geometric shapes that layer to find new colors where ever they land. I could go on about the magic behind his craft but nothing will be more comprehensive nor exciting as the demonstration he will be giving live during this talk. This is certainly one not to miss!
